There are times when one ofthe six principal views will notcompletely describe an object.This is especially true whenthere are inclined or obliqueplanes or features on an object.For these cases, a specialorthographic view called anauxiliary view can be created.

is an orthographic view which isprojected onto any plane other than the frontal, horizontal,or profile plane.
An auxiliary view is not one of the sixprincipal views.
