3 horizontally stacked panels, middle one largest.PANEL 1EXT, morning, a nice spring day; Looking onto Bellridge High,a typical high school, surrounded by students, crowding theentrance and taking over the lawn outside. Lots of kids withiPad like devices, hunched in groups, staring at their phonesor playing portable video games. The roof of the building islaced with cameras, pointing at the students and into theentrance.PANEL 2180 view from high school, looking out over the parking lot;Asher Evans, a 16 year-old boy, standing with a backpack overhis shoulder and a pair of professional grade headphonesaround his neck. He is looking on toward the school with aresigned sigh.CAPTIONAnother day, another rat maze.PANEL 3Closer view of the school entrance, on Asher's back, at aslight angle so we can see part of his face; Asher is hunchedforward slightly, moving forward, braving the crowd withdetermination.

4 panels, more or less evenly sized (feel free to play withit). This page features Asher moving through the crowdedhallways, which are riddled with surveillance cameras.PANEL 1INT. School hallways; Asher is weaving expertly in and out ofa horde of students. People are going both ways--typical high-school hallway but tight. Asher can move briskly through thecrowd, but most people are slowly following each other likesheep. About a 1 or 2 person space between each person--justenough for a pro to weave through.

CAPTIONVideo games are underratedPANEL 2Still weaving.CAPTIONI mean, they get a lot of buzz but theyalso take a lot of flack for educationalvalue. I’ve learned a lot from videogames. Mostly though, it boils down totiming.PANEL 3Asher's backside; He casually ducks his head to the right, under a stray arm, reaching up in a wave from the left.PANEL 4In front of Asher, looking back at the waving student who issmiling at someone--he is completely unaware of Asher floatingon through.

PANEL 1Looking at Asher, zipping through the crowdCAPTIONThe human brain is underrated too. Imean, look at this. I’m doingdifferential calculus in my head and I’m not even thinking about it.PANEL 2 (LARGE)The students in his way are mapped out with superimposedtrajectories in the form of virtual arrows, curving swoops, outlining projections of where they will be in the nextinstant, showing Asher where he should walk. Several physicsformulas are floating, ethereally in the air:
