How To Start, Stop Services Automatically InUbuntu And Improve Performance

If Ubuntuis your default workstation and most of the programs andservices installed are running by default when you startup your computer, then sooner than later your computer performancewillsuffer. Because the more programs or services running in thebackground, the slower it becomes. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to disable programs and services from starting upeverytime your Ubuntu computer starts. On the other hand, if you want a service to startautomatically, this tutorial should also help you do that. 
Getting started:
 To get started, go to Applications –> Ubuntu Software Center. Then search and install ‘Bootup-Manager.

 After installing, click System –> Administration –> BootUP-Manager. The first thing you do is enable the ‘Advanced’ feature. This will enable more tabs above asshown. Now you can begin to enable and disable programs and services by checking or un-checking the box next to each program/service. When you’re done, click Apply to save the changes. When prompted as shown below, clickYes and continue.
