I believe there is no place for the practice of snaring on thegrounds it is cruel and unnecessary. Snares are indiscriminate,trapping wild, domestic and farmed animals and current regulationis ineffective in preventing animals from suffering. Althoughdesigned to act as a restraining device they cause horrific injuriesand in many cases a slow and painful death.I urge you to use your powers under the new Animal WelfareBill to implement legislation which will end the unnecessarysuffering of animals through the use of snares. Please considermy views and act now to make illegal the sale, manufacture anduse of all snares.
