The Haven of Rest
My soul in sad exile was out on life’s sea,So burdened with sin and distressed,Till I heard a sweet voice, saying, “Make Me your choice”;And I entered the “Haven of Rest”!
o
Refrain
o
I’ve anchored my soul in the “Haven of Rest,”I’ll sail the wide seas no more; The tempest may sweep over wild, stormy, deep,In Jesus I’m safe evermore.I yielded myself to His tender embrace,In faith taking hold of the Word,My fetters fell off, and I anchored my soul; The “Haven of Rest” is my Lord. The song of my soul, since the Lord made me whole,Has been the old story so blest,Of Jesus, who’ll save whosoever will haveA home in the “Haven of Rest.”How precious the thought that we all may recline,Like John, the beloved so blest,On Jesus’ strong arm, where no tempest can harm,Secure in the “Haven of Rest.”Oh, come to the Savior, He patiently waitsTo save by His power divine;Come, anchor your soul in the “Haven of Rest,”And say, “My Beloved is mine.”
Make Me a Blessing
Out on the highways and byways of life,Many are the weary and sad;Carry the sunshine where darkness is rife,Making the sorrowing glad.ChorusMake me a blessing, make me a blessing;Out of my life may Jesus shine.Make me a blessing, O Saviour I pray,Make me a blessing to someone today.Tell the sweet story of Christ and His love,Tell of His pow'r to forgive;Others will trust Him if only you proveTrue every moment you live..Give as 'twas given to you in your need,Love as the Master loved you;Be to the helpless a helper indeed,Unto your mission be true.

Sunlight
I wandered in the shades of night,Till Jesus came to me,And with the sunlight of His loveBid all my darkness flee.ChorusSunlight, sunlight in my soul today,Sunlight, sunlight all along the way;Since the Savior found me, took away my sin,I have had the sunlight of His love within.Though clouds may gather in the sky,And billows ’round me roll,However dark the world may beI’ve sunlight in my soul. While walking in the light of God,I sweet communion find;I press with holy vigor onAnd leave the world behind.I cross the wide, extended fields,I journey o’er the plain,And in the sunlight of His loveI reap the golden grain.Soon I shall see Him as He is,The Light that came to me;Behold the brightness of His face,Throughout eternity.
I Know Whom I Have Believed
I know not why God’s wondrous graceTo me He hath made known,Nor why, unworthy, Christ in loveRedeemed me for His own.I know not how this saving faithTo me He did impart,Nor how believing in His WordWrought peace within my heart.RefrainBut I know Whom I have believed,And am persuaded that He is ableTo keep that which I’ve committedUnto Him against that day.I know not how the Spirit moves,Convincing men of sin,Revealing Jesus through the Word,Creating faith in Him. .I know not what of good or illMay be reserved for me,Of weary ways or golden days,Before His face I see.I know not when my Lord may come,At night or noonday fair,Nor if I walk the vale with Him,Or meet Him in the air.

We’re Marching to ZionCome, we that love the Lord,And let our joys be known;Join in a song with sweet accord,Join in a song with sweet accordAnd thus surround the throne,And thus surround the throne.RefrainWe’re marching to Zion,Beautiful, beautiful Zion; We’re marching upward to Zion,The beautiful city of God.Let those refuse to singWho never knew our God;But children of the heav'nly King,But children of the heav'nly King,May speak their joys abroad,May speak their joys abroad. The hill of Zion yields,A thousand sacred sweetsBefore we reach the heav'nly field,Before we reach the heav'nly fieldOr walk the golden streets,Or walk the golden streets. Then let our songs abound,And every tear be dry; We're marching thro' Immanuel's ground,We're marching thro' Immanuel's ground,To fairer worlds on high,To fairer worlds on high.I am Thine, O Lord
(Draw Me Nearer)
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,And it told Thy love to me;But I long to rise in the arms of faithAnd be closer drawn to Thee. .Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,By the power of grace divine;Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,And my will be lost in Thine.RefrainDraw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,To the cross where Thou hast died.Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,To Thy precious, bleeding side.O the pure delight of a single hour That before Thy throne I spend,When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my GodI commune as friend with friend! There are depths of love that I cannot knowTill I cross the narrow sea; There are heights of joy that I may not reachTill I rest in peace with Thee.
