reedom is something that youcan only have yoursel, i you arewilling to grant it to others. Do we inthe Tea Party movement really standor reedom, or are we just upsetbecause Obama is in power. Wouldwe in the Tea Party movement havebeen pleased i McCain was oceimposing the Republican brand o socialism on the nation instead o the democratic brand o socialism?

any in our movement voicedlittle opposition when Bushwas violating his oath o oce. Nowthat we have a new president peopleare asking where in the Constitu-tion does the ederal governmentget the authority to regulate healthcare. Good question. Here’s another,where in the Constitution does theederal government get the author-ity to wage its war on drugs? Ortoimpose a prescription drug benetin the county? Or orm a mandatedponzi scheme called Social Secu-rity? Or orce the states to adopt thedrinking ages the ederal govern-ment thinks they should have? Orto orm a “ederal” reserve bank? Orregulate and/or spend money oneducation? Or energy?

Remember that ourounding athers ex-hausted their time, theirtalents, and their energies;they risked their ortunesand their lives to ensuresubsequent generations’reedom and prosperity.Know that we go orthwith a plan, identiy thethings that you can do,and God willing, do them.
Step One
:Set the tone o your community.Write a letter to the editoro your local newspaper.Organize your eforts sothat you may take turns,with each member writingweekly, which will relieveyou o constant burdenand yet still constantlyremind the citizens o your community o theprinciples o limited gov-ernment, sound monetarypolicy, personal liberties,and a strict constitutionaladherence. This is the single mostimportant thing thatyou can do. Bart Stupak has repeatedly repliedto letters to the editor inhis district.  The Tea PartyOrganizations will orga-nize.Now that each communityhas organized, the entire1st Congressional District(31 Counties) is organiz-ing the Tea Party groupsto ally under a commoncause. On January 30th o this month, every known Tea Party organization inMichigan’s 1st Congres-sional District will conveneupon St. Ignace to prepareor the upcoming electionyear. The meeting will beheld at the Quality Inn(located near the Big Boyrestaurant) at 2:00 P.M. Allmembers o the publicare welcome, no politicalparty or candidate solicita-tions will be allowed.I urge you to become asdeeply involved in your lo-cal Tea Party group as pos-sible this year. And whenyou are not putting on arally in your community,please travel to adjacentcommunities and supporttheir rallies.
Step Three:
Identiy andsupport liberty candi-dates. All o our grievanc-es would dissolve rapidlyi we had good represen-tation in Washington. Thereore all o our efortsshould be placed behinda good candidate once wend that the spirit o ourmovement resides withinone o them.
Step Four:
Do all that youcan. I have listed only thebarest o essential tasksthat we must accomplishthis next year. Writingmust not be under-stated. The populationreceives too much pro-paganda and it is in greatneed o sound principledarguments to change thepriorities o this country.By our writing we will es-tablish the correct rameo mind o the populationto want, and to need thechange that our candi-date efects. Write, write,and write, so that those o us who are writing are notseen as isolated radicals.Beyond this, please useyour imagination- get onthe radio, hold marches,meet with college politi-cal organizations, meetwith community orga-nizations (like the Lions,Kiwanis, Eagles, Elks,American Legion, etcet-era), spread our messagear and wide and make itas public as you can.Become involved in yourlocal political party. Itdoesn’t matter whichparty you choose, bothseverely need ideas andleadership riendly to-wards liberty.
The job o civil resis-tance is to orce a reac-tion. We must provoke,provoke and provokeuntil we orce the reac-tion we are seekingrom this government.Do this in 2010.

You are quite the man, Barack Obama, and you sir are my president. How much more can Iexpress my thanks, to such a laid-back-apologetic-indecisive-smug-aloo-and, quite-rankly, passive American? think the Tea Party movementis made up o people whoare tired o a government thatpays lip service to limited-gov-ernment and the Constitution,while violating our rights, steal-ing our wealth and controllingour lives.

he Tea Parties should standor Natural Rights, limited-government and ree-markets.It is our duty to educatenot just the public as awhole, but ourselvesto the moral supe-riority o reedomover tyranny. Wemust work hardto ensure thatwe opposeviolations o the Constitutionno matter which party is inpower. Our critics will claim weare merely partisan politics asusual, we must prove they arewrong.

e must recruit morepeople to the Tea Partymovement. Only by educatingour ellow citizens to the ben-ets and righteousness o ourcause will we prevail. We mustnd efective ways to wrestlethe ederal government back toits lawul place,: as servant, notas master o the people.

he sovereign states createdthe Federal Government andI believe they are the key to re-storing the Republic. The stateshave the authority and abilityto nulliy illegal edicts and lawscoming out rom Washing-ton DC. We mustelectreedomminded individualsto all levels o state govern-ment. Not waste time and efortelecting Republicans who onlyviolate our rights at a slowerpace than the Democrats. Onlywhen the states realize thatthey have the support o theircitizens will they begin to assertthe rights, stand up or reedomand return the ederal govern-ment to its rightul place andsize.
