Mid-Autumn Festival is an importantfestival celebrated mostly in Asia. InVietnam, this occasion is celebratedwidely. It is also known as the MooncakeFestival. This is a day to worship themoon god. According to folk legend, thisday is also the birthday of the earthgod. This festival signals that the year'shard work in the fields will soon come toan end, with only the harvest left toattend to. People use this opportunity toexpress their gratitude to heaven(represented by the moon) and earth(symbolized by the earth god) for theblessings they have enjoyed over thepast year.
