About the book
Former Earthman Tarl Cabot is now a powerful Tarnsman of the brutal and caste-bound planet of Gor, also known as Counter-Earth. He embarks on an adventure in the dangerous and mysterious wilderness of Gor, pitting his warrior’s skills against those of treacherous outlaws, bandits, and fighters. Three different women are working to bring change to Tarl’s far-from-peaceful life on Gor: Talena, his onetime queen and first love; Elizabeth, his brave fighting partner; and the Amazonian Verna, chief of the fierce and wild panther women. As Tarl journeys through the wilderness, the fates of these three remarkable women will finally be decided.
Rediscover this brilliantly imagined world where men are masters and women live to serve their every desire.
John Norman is the creator of the Gorean Saga, the longest-running series of adventure novels in Science Fiction history. Starting in December, 1966, with TARNSMAN OF GOR, the series was put on hold after its 25th installment, MAGICIANS OF GOR, in 1988, when DAW refused to publish its successor, WITNESS OF GOR. After several unsuccessful attempts to find a trade publishing outlet, E-Reads brought the series back into print in 2001, and after WITNESS OF GOR (2002), PRIZE OF GOR (2008), KUR OF GOR (2009), SWORDSMEN OF GOR (2010) and MARINERS OF GOR (2011), they are now preparing the 2012 release of CONSPIRATORS OF GOR. Norman has also produced a separate, three-installment science fiction series, THE TELNARIAN HISTORIES, plus two other fiction works (GHOST DANCE and TIME SLAVE), a nonfiction paperback (IMAGINATIVE SEX) and a collection of thirty short stories, entitled NORMAN INVASIONS. THE TOTEMS OF ABYDOS is scheduled in Spring, 2012. All of Norman's work is available both in print and in ebook formats. The Internet has proven to be a fertile ground for the imagination of Norman's ever growing fanbase, and at Gor Chronicles (www.gorchronicles.com ), a web site specially created for his tremendous fan following, one may read everything there is to know about this unique fictional culture. John Norman was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1931. He is married and has three children.read more
