I love this series. Again, end times books fascinate me to no end, and this book delivers in a way not seen in other end times series. I really like how many of the events that occur behind the political scenes seem to mirror what is going on right now in America. Can't wait until the next one is released.....

Josh Jordan is the top defense contractor. He hasdeveloped an extremely sophisticated missile defense system for the U.S. and her closest allies. The RTS (return to sender) has been placed in commercial and military planes to direct enemy missiles back to their point of origin. After the apparent failure of the system to save an outbound airliner from Chicago, Josh's political enemies seek to blame the RTS system. Combine that with nuclear threat, political corruption and attempts of global dominance, there is a dramatic and exciting conclusion to the book and sets up just who may well be the anti-Christ in LaHaye's next book. Well written and very believable. Keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat.It does a great job of blending the story w/ political scenarios that are relevant to our time. Amazing 5* book!

End time drama, full of page turning action, packed with suspense is what you will find in "Thunder Of Heaven," which is the second book in The End series.I have never read anything by either of these authors, and really wish I would have read the first book in this series before reading this one. That said once I got a feel for who the characters were the plot of the story kept me riveted. Imagine not only that Israel is under attack but so is America, someone is planning on dropping a nuclear bomb in New York. Joshua Jordan knows this is about to happen and the thing is no one in government will listen to him. So he and his underground group of patriots will do whatever it takes to try and stop the attacks. Can they succeed?End time bible prophesy stories have never really been my cup of tea, but this book was so realistically written that I may have to rethink that. The characters are well fleshed out and I found Joshua's character, who is a non believer quite realistic, it was interesting to see him grow spiritually through out the story. The ending of the story left me anxious for the next installment. If your a fan of end-time fiction or are just looking for a page turning suspense that has definite spiritual undertones then your certainly going got enjoy this one, although I would recommend reading the books in order.
