      Paul's two books in this series were a bad shock to readers used to the fast flowing storylines of Barry Sadler. Chapters are full of over descriptive prose and the protagonist, rather than being the action orientated warrior of all ages as previously written, is a torpid, introspective silent thinker, given to long bouts of doing nothing.

      Casca journeys from Venice back to Mongolia and China. I'm not too familiar with the series but the book seems to drag a bit.
