These women are known in Yarmouth town,
They made the local people frown,
For they were always the worse for drink,
And never washing they did stink.
No one cared for their sad tales,
For a fishing town it made one pale,
For those women had been fishwives,
And the death of their men changed their lives.
They'd go with men to earn some cash,
They were rude and very brash,
Children were told to keep away,
Those women were witches and would them slay.
When the catch came into shore,
The town was rich these women stay poor,
