BAKED! New & Improved! Over 50 Delicious & Easy Weed Cookbook Recipes & Medical Marijuana Cooking Tips - Emma Stoner

    Introduction

Here begins the third weed cookbook, and with any good trilogy, the third one’s the charm. So we have aptly named this one Baked! The recipes, tips and treasures from our past volumes, The Weed Cookbook, and The Weed Cookbook 2 have by no means satisfied the hunger to explore the rare epicurean delights that can be made with weed. By now, if you have tried any of the edibles found in other books, you have come to realize that smoking it is not the only way to go – not by any means. The new found possibilities and skills in your cooking arsenal have reached a point where you feel confident enough to host a full dinner party in order to display your growing talents. Certainly, your family and friends have been come to savor your treats, sweets, and delightful drinks while enjoying their potent effects. These recipes have been collected in an answer to the same challenge as before – create to medicate – continuing the high standards of every person who has enjoyed cooking with weed.

Time to get back into the kitchen!

    Cooking with Weed & CannaButter

    Cooking with Weed

Most weed-related recipes call for the making of a certain quantity of Cannabutter, Ganja Butter, Marijuana Butter, or Bud Butter, all which are the same thing and are used as a replacement for standard butter in a cooking situation. To prepare weed for eating it has to be heated in some way. It won't work if the weed is eaten without preparation, because the digestive system is unable to digest THC directly. When cooking with weed, it is very important to use fat (oil, butter, milk) because THC is fat soluble and not water soluble. It is therefore impossible to medicate from weed tea, for example, without adding some milk or butter.

    Cooking with Cannabutter

Cannabutter is best suited for sweet foods such as the famous pot treat pot brownies. Other popular recipes include pot apple pie, and our marijuana gingerbread cookies.

It is also quite good on toast and breakfast pastries like pancakes and waffles. Experiment with it and let your taste-buds be your guide. See our other marijuana recipes for more tasty cannabis treat ideas!

You can use weed butter in any recipe that calls for butter although you will find in your experimenting that it does clash with some flavors. I do not recommend using Cannabutter in any recipe that requires a cooking temperature of higher than 400°F as you risk destroying the THC or vaporizing it and losing it to the air. Some recipes do however call for 400 degrees and this can be okay if the cooking time is under 20 minutes or so. I advise staying at a temperature lower if you are just beginning the art of cooking with Cannabutter.

Important! Take into account the Potency of your Batch! One more thing to take notice of when cooking with marijuana butter is its potency! Determine the amount of Cannabutter that is needed to achieve the desired result and multiply that by the number of servings the recipe calls for. Then, if necessary, add regular butter to the mix to meet the recipes requirement.

How much weed do I use?

Since weed is not an officially regulated product it's hard to recommend an amount to use as the strength of the weed will vary greatly. Many people prefer to use cabbage, or the leafy, low quality type of weed, in their cooking. The Flowers, or the Buds, are usually reserved for smoking, but of course you're free to cook buds, but any cooking disasters will be a lot more expensive!

Trial and error is your guide here. If you're making bud butter, you might go through a few saucepans full of cabbage before the butter is green and smelly enough to be useful for cooking.
