    It is my intention to provide you with practical tools for applying the process of critical thinking to everyday life. I'm using the lives of black American innovators, who made many significant contributions to the American way of life, as a study guide to history and innovation.

    This book can be used as a historical guide to black Americans who gained their freedom in the Northern States and, some in the Southern States, and who advanced the rights of all black Americans in their communities and Americans generally. It demonstrates in various ways the effects slavery had on black Americans, but also the efforts of these individuals to influence the social, economic, and cultural development of their times through creativity and innovations.

    This book can be used as an object lesson that outlines the steps that are necessary for all innovators to succeed in their endeavors. It can also be used as a program for innovation, creativity, and problem solving.
