    Travis W. Tate was born in a Christian home in Dallas Texas in 1966. He began his ministry at age 15: singing, songwriting and preaching all over the United States. Travis was ordained through Family Cathedral of Praise Church in Mesquite, Texas. In addition, he has served in a number of churches and ministries: Broadway Assembly of God, Grace Assembly of God, New Covenant, Shiloh Road Church of God, United Body of Christ Church and Word of Life Church.Currently, Travis shepherds the Harbor Outreach in Terrell Texas (an outreach ministry of The Harbor Church in Rockwall). In keeping with his love for singing and songwriting, he is the lead vocalist for Wings of Worship Ministries. In all, Travis brings over 30 years of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world around him.

      Introduction

      This book was written to bring together all of the visions the Spirit of God has given me. I knew one day I would be used by God to write a book. I did not know it would be like this.

      I have written many poems, songs, and letters to God over the past several years. He often gave me answers to questions through my own pen. Many of these writings were brought back to memory in this compilation. It is awesome how God goes before us and prepares the way!

      Many times in prayer and fasting, the vision would appear to me as a beginning, as if God were saying to me, Start here. I would start writing and my pen would take off, leaving me behind! It has been an awesome experience! Other times I would be in praise and worship when a movie was playing directly in front of me. At different times I would be driving down the road and God would give me the next part of the book, word for word. I knew it had to be from Him because it was a miracle that I remembered it all. The process of writing in this manner took several months. I learned that when I was seeking Him passionately, He would open my eyes to this world of spiritual warfare to a greater degree. It is true see and ye shall find!

      I truly hope you enjoy this book and that it brings true enlightenment into your spiritual walk with God through Jesus Christ our Savior. I also hope it moves you to find the keys that will open the door of God’s heart so that His blessings will be poured out on you.—Travis Tate

      The Awakening

      Wandering aimlessly in darkness, I trip and fall again. As I pushed myself up, my beaten body screams out for deliverance from this engulfing darkness. My mind changes as I start to rise and crawl through the darkness on my quest to find a way out.
