About this ebook
Whether it is the TV commercial that breaks into our favourite programme or the telemarketing phone call that disrupts a family meal, traditional advertising is based on the hope of snaring our attention away from whatever we are doing. Seth Godin calls this Interruption Marketing, and, as companies are discovering, it no longer works.
Instead of annoying potential customers by interrupting their most coveted commodity, time, Permission Marketing offers consumers incentives to voluntarily accept advertising. Now the Internet pioneer who has dramatically improved marketing effectiveness in media introduces a fundamentally different way of thinking about advertising products and services. By reaching out to only those individuals who have expressed an interest in learning more about a product, Permission Marketing enables companies to develop long-term relationships with customers, create trust, build brand awareness, and greatly improve the chances of making a sale.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Explains his concepts best in this must read. Great insight into Amazon & Yahoo. Brilliant insight into building a relationship with the customer. Great info on Opt-in email from a management standpoint. I believe this is Seth Godin's best book. Good information on how to educate your customer. I re- read this book this book all the time.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When it was released, it was surely grounding breaking for the time. Many of the principles are still relevant today within the content marketing ethos. However, the book clearly needs a revision to bring the examples of companies up to date. AOL? I'm old enough to remember them. I'm not sure how many others are...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book shares with you the true and right way to properly handle marketing in today's world. Seth Godin breaks it down nicely as to why permission marketing will be the winner at the end and how it would reward companies and corporation that actually embrace it.
A must read for every marketer.
