- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Ultimate Guide to Talking Dirty No Porn in Print The first thing one might believe when looking at Denise Brienne’s book title, The Ultimate Guide to Talking Dirty, is that the work is someone’s idea of a laundry list of curse words and crude names for body parts; but while bits of such information do present themselves, that is not the premise of the entire work. The premises of the book are to aid and enhance the continuance of physical-based bliss for couples. This is not a story told by the author, nor is it a book for the juvenile and/or teen sect. It is rather the author’s idea of advice for serious couples, to help spice things up and enhance their love life. It is also an open discussion on issues that most do not feel comfortable enough to speak of to others. The book is well written in plain and forthright wording. There are no twists and turns for one to become lost, and the chapters are set up in a logical manner with only a bit of rehashing of information. In an effort to be supportive, the author used the format of regular speech to present an open dialog with readers, as if having a face-to-face conversation. However, a side effect of the attempt at supportiveness is redundant bouts of reassuring the reader that she, or he, is headed in the right direction for needed information. The speech is geared toward females, though could be useful for either sex. Over all, the book does what it sets out to do, which is give readers information that most would never seek from a public discussion.
