Thinking Fat Loss - Grant Hall
Introduction
Hi guys. Firstly, congratulations on taking the time to invest in yourself. In life we often get so caught up with everything else, we forget to focus on and to take care of ourselves. So, well done on investing in yourself.
Can I start by telling you a little bit about myself? Thank you.
I have been training for over 10 years; from the first time I set foot in the gym I was in love. I remember the morning after my first training session, I was so stiff I barely made it to work. I was in so much pain and I loved it! I was exhilarated and it was the first time in a long time that I felt truly alive. I spent the next three years training five times a week, I read every bodybuilding book, tried different training routines, diets and all the new supplements on the market. I was hooked. I found my passion and that's when I decided to make it my life's work. I studied, got my personal training and sports nutrition certificate and was on my way. I have been running my own successful personal training studio for the last seven years. I have never been happier. Helping people achieve their goals with their physique is the most rewarding and gratifying job I could have. I love imparting my knowledge and empowering people to improve their quality of life. And that is the reason I have written this book. I have spent the last seven years working very closely with people who generally have a similar goal to improve their health and a better quality physique. I take the guesswork out of the equation for my clients. I provide them with the right diet, the right supplements, the right timing and the perfect training.
I had formulated what I thought was the most complete system to the perfect physique. I had all my bases covered: dieting, training and supplements. But something was missing. Only a portion of my clients achieved 100% of their potential, and reached their ultimate goal. The rest achieved about 80% of their potential. Why was this? Why were some achieving full potential and others only 80%? This has led me to the first section of this book. Which I feel is possibly the most important of any physical and health improvement programme. In fact, I believe the principles in the first section of this book are very important to success in every area of our lives!
TO CHANGE YOUR BODY YOU MUST FIRST CHANGE YOUR MIND
The why?
So why were only some clients reaching their full potential? Why weren't all my clients getting the body of their dreams? Why was it that some could obtain complete success and others only achieved 80%? I did what came naturally, I worked harder. I researched better food options, fat burning foods, negative calorie foods. I got super strict with the diets, I came up with new challenging training routines never seen in a gym before (I will share these with you in the section on training). I did fortnightly assessments, I incorporated a range of different supplements, from pre-workout to post-workout, thermogenics, lipotropics, multivitamins, energy boosters, sleep aids and recovery drinks. I used everything I had tried and tested and incorporated into my new plan. I wasn't taking any chances. The results were outstanding, my clients got fitter stronger and leaner. I was on the path to the perfect physique with my clients. We got as close to
