Every year more than 30 million people visit the United Kingdom, and more than half of those choose London. Most tourist who visit here have a feeling of knowing the place. From childhood books to movies, you are almost aware of what Big Ben will sound like before you even set foot in the city. There is a pulse to this city that you can really feel. From the vibrant hip culture of Shoreditch to the ultra trendy Kensington fashion boutiques, there is something for everyone.
Whether your interests lie with history, art, music, or you simply want to soak up the atmosphere, visiting famous landmarks that are recognized the world over, London will not disappoint. There is a real sense of history all around you. It is here in one of those down town pubs where Ian Fleming supposedly got the inspiration for James Bond’s famous line Shaken Not Stirred.
If it is live entertainment that you are after, London is the place to be. Many of the worlds biggest bands get their start here, and on any given night you can see up coming superstars perform at number of venues around the city.
On top of that many established stars love to show up here for a surprise show or to perform at Wembley stadium or the iconic 02 arena. The choice of live theater is only rivaled by Broadway in New York. You can often pick up tickets for shows at a fraction of the cost if you are willing to book them on the day.
Many of the big open parks have attractions which change annually or free petting zoos for kids. You can take a ride in the huge Millennium wheel with unparalleled views of the city and have afternoon
