    There is a time in everyone’s life when they must stare their own greatness square in the eye and decide if they have what it takes to reach their own destiny. For Will and Dougie that moment is now.

    Ever since Will’s dad lost his job, forcing their family to move across town, Will has dreamed of a way out of his pathetic existence. His long-time friend Dougie, however, wouldn’t change a thing about his safe and predictable life. But after Will convinces Dougie to use an abandoned stairway, the boys find themselves trapped in a mystical world where nothing is truly as it seems.

    Now they must combine their strengths to fulfill the “Outsider Legend” and ultimately regain their freedom. Will they uncover the secrets to this ever-changing land and their powers in it? Or will the Master get to them before they take their spot in history?

    Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. I go by the pen name of T. Murphy as a tribute to my family. While it may sound a bit cliche... my whole life has led me to becoming an author. My first true love was the book “And to Think that I saw it on Mulberry Street” by Dr. Seuss. Most kids have a blanket or stuffed animal they carry around and sleep with, but not me. I held tight to an ‘out of the box’ imaginative book. By the age of eight I was creating poetry and escaping some of the hardships of my childhood by making up fictional characters with stories of peril and victory. My curiosity of people led me to the field of Psychology. This experience afforded me the ability to fine-tune my understanding of the young mind and how it works. When my children were little I continued enhancing my storytelling skills through tales of magical beings, dastardly villains, and brave heroes during car rides, in waiting rooms, and at bedtime. I have had the wonderful opportunity of being published in over six different countries with Self-Help magazine articles I wrote as Tara Patricia, as well as a self published book The Road You Were Meant to Travel. It was a fun undertaking but I am ready to return to my creative writing roots. The story of Will and Dougie as “the outsiders” has been an exciting part of our family and I am eager to introduce them to an audience outside of my living room and community. My ultimate goal with my books is to offer young readers adventure through written word while teaching them about life and their world at the same time. "Legend of the Outsider" is Book 1 in my series; The Castle of Change. Book 2, "The Elder's Prophecy" is scheduled for release in the beginning of 2015. Enjoy and Thank you.
