    This is an ancient adventure of how the guardians to the gates of hell came to be. It is a story of fate and most importantly of the Four Curses which brought an assortment of beings together to forge the way for the ancestors of those guardians.
    Excerpt: He stumbled back in shock at the life that was being breathed into something which had died long ago. The tree loomed over him with brittle branches which had now begun to soften, to become fleshy, and its thick dark roots began to curl out from the dirt. Veins began to throb along the blackened wood, pulsing life into it. Blood from the victims rose up from the ground, seeping through the spongy earth, and ran through slender channels in the mud to pool in the footprints which had been petrified where each person had stood in the last moment of life. A dark, foreboding figure was forming around the stinking, liquefied organs of the dead and with it came the true evil, the spirit of the demon. It slid along the dirt and slime, gathering the bones and human matter under its skirt of foaming darkness and fused them to itself with each creeping movement. The figure was becoming recognizable but the face was still deformed and grotesque with protruding muscle and nerve popping into existence and Bill, for all his bravery, now feared greatly for his life.
