Glimpses is a non-fiction work - a collection of vignettes, drawn mostly from my own life and the lives of some of my family members. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes horrific, sometimes inspiring, the short pieces cover a wide range of life experiences. This group of ten stories and one poem describe moments that have taught me, moved me, and shaped me. From personal experiences to stories told to me about family members, I have tried to share some of the things that have stayed in my memory. I trust the reader will forgive my occasional poetic license; the essence of each story is accurate. A few instances of language mean that this book must be characterized as having adult content; it's minimal, but it is there. Some of these offerings may speak to you more than others; I hope that some of them find parallels with your lives. My grateful thanks to Jenny for the foreword.
