About this ebook

Emma MacDonald, a trained chef and founder of The Bay Tree, shares her celebrated culinary secrets for the first time. Since she first started making jams and chutneys at her mother's kitchen table, her fame has grown, as has her artistry. Now she shows you how to create deli feasts such as Pastrami with Sweet Cucumber Relish, Sticky Redcurrant & Clove Glazed Ham, Sizzling Beef with Korean Vegetable Pickle, and Chocolate Risotto with Cherries in Kirsch. The beauty of Emma's book is that you can mix and match, using deli treats you've prepared yourself, along with deli-bought items. Discover how to make buttermilk, for example, and use it to make a heart-warming Buttermilk-roasted Chicken. Or splash out on pomegranate molasses, and use them to transform a Chargrilled Halloumi Salad. Here you'll find all the recipes, techniques and tips you need to create gorgeous deli feasts.

This is such a beautiful cookbook. I just can't get alot of the ingredients used in it. It would cost me a small fortune to make most of the recipes included.

Beautiful pictures complement intriguing recipes and plenty of information about the topic. Certainly not for the beginning cook/chef but not so difficult that someone with a bit of skill and patience couldn't master these. A perfect addition to the kitchen bookshelf for those with a more epicurean appetite.

The Artisan Market by Emma MacDonald is a beautifully illustrated cookbook for intermediate to advanced levels. I like the jam and sauce recipes for unique gifts. I'm not sure that I would have the items on hand to make many of these recipes, but it would be fun to try one sometime!

3.5 StarsIf you live in a big city or near an area with a great food market, this cookbook is a 4 star book; however, if you live in a more rural area, it's closer to a 3 star one. The book is put together well and the recipes look great, especially the desserts. Some of the ingredients are just too hard for me to find or out of my price range (please note that I do not reside in the UK, where some of the hard to find ingredients would be easily found). That said, the recipes are easy to follow and this book is a good choice for food connoisseurs or people who love to entertain.GoodReads FirstReads Giveaway
