    Throughout my career, I have interviewed hundreds of people. I have been wowed and amazed by many of the people I have interviewed and completely disappointed by others. The common denominator for all of the candidates who amazed me was their preparedness. The candidates who least impressed me were unable to sell themselves. I attributed it to their inability to organize their thoughts and highlight their “best self”. I used to leave interviews and wonder to myself how is it that people know how to prepare for an interview and get the job that they want?
    After countless conversations with other professionals and friends, I decided to share my insider knowledge to help others prepare for interviews; to explain what Human Resources (HR) Recruiters and Managers are looking for; and to assist candidates in standing out in a sea of qualified candidates. This guide will walk the reader through the thought process of an HR Recruiter and hiring managers.
