      PREFACE

      Marriage is a lifelong commitment, a relationship ordained by God, a sealed bond between the husband and wife that shouldn’t be broken. Marriage is a beautiful thing! I get asked all the time what is marriage like and how do I get my marriage to work. I always wondered to myself, Do I make marriage look easy? I was up with my baby daughter one night and for some reason I couldn’t go back to sleep. My mind was restless and I found myself tossing and turning. I finally realized that the voice of the Lord was speaking to me, so I listened. This book in particular was laid out to me, it’s like I was the translator transcribing it on paper. It was an amazing experience! We all have a purpose in our lives and I sincerely believe that my purpose is to encourage others. This book was written to encourage those that are currently married, engaged, or single. This book will bring insight on what marriage is and how to work through things that may arise in your marriage.       CHAPTER ONE: WHEN TWO BECOME ONE

      When two become one, is a great starter statement. In today's world a lot of couples are unaware of the true meaning of this statement. Becoming one means the husband and wife are joined together before God. Genesis 2:24 KJV states, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Matthew 19:6 KJV reflects this by saying, Wherefore they are no more twain (two), but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." This is a vital scripture for marriages. Marriage signifies the mystery of the union between Jesus and his bride which is the church. The man has taken the woman to be his wife, and the woman has taken the man to be her husband. God’s ideal plan for marriage is a union
