Author

Jess Michaels

Jess Michaels always flips through every romance she buys in search of "the good stuff," so it makes perfect sense that she writes erotic romance where she gets to turn up the heat and let it boil. She also runs the popular website The Passionate Pen and writes historical romance as Jenna Petersen.

It was interesting to have a main character, Beatrice who was not a nice, sweet person and Jess Michaels writes those steamy love scenes very well.

The heroine (Beatrice) starts the book as a spoiled brat. Its been awhile since I read a book with such an annoying heroine. But she does progress through the book and it was good character growth. Enjoyable read. I didn't read the first two books in the series but will go back and read those now...

Again, I wished for more of a look at the Albright family dynamics.
