      Review: This was a great book I loved the way Caitlyn handled Carlos. This book had everything I love in a Paranormal Romance.

TOTAL WIN!Book Thoughts: I am slowly catching up on the Love at Stake series. So far, I haven't been disappointed once. Carlos and Caitlyn were a match made in Paranormal Heaven! They both had hearts of gold and a stubborn streak a mile long. I love watching couples that have a great push/pull relationship because when that band whips them together you know there are sparks. Eat Prey Love was totally sexy, hot, and fun!

      I have not read all of the books in the Love at Stakes series. Which is fine as each one can really be read as stand alone novels. Although, I have to say that this book is probably one of my favorites. Instantly I fell for Caitlyn and Carlos. The best part was that Carlos is not a vampire but a were-panter. For a change in a vampire series, it was nice to have a different character type like Carlos. Plus, in a way it made more sense and it was more believable that Caitlyn would fall for Carlos. Caitlyn was just getting over her shock that her sister married a vampire and she was not so warm to the idea, so for her to have a love interest in a vampire would have been too predicable. The raw animal attraction was evident between Caitlyn and Carlos. Besides the storyline was a good one. Liked the ending.

      Eat Prey Love has Carlos falling in love with a mortal named Catelyn. In order to save the were panthers Carlos needs to find a were mate or turn one. Catelyn is Shannons sister who tries to warhn her against falling in love with a vampire or a shifter. In my opinion Catelyn was a whiny weak woman and Carlos could of been better written also. Not the best in the series.

      I really like the Love at Stake series. My favorite genre is Urban Fantasy and most of the purely romantic series end up bugging me. Sparks has been quite the exception to that rule since I read her first book "How to Marry A Millionaire Vampire". "Eat Prey Love" reminds me that Sparks is still the best of these specific genre. Her books are still most definitely romances. There is always a man and a woman who despite obstacles come together and have a happily ever after. Yet her vampire world is amazing. The focus of the story is Romatech industries, a company that makes synthetic blood. On the supernatural side they also make fine vampire cuisine...bloods like Chocoblood...blood with a hint of chocolate. Because the bad vampires are after the good ones associated with Romatech, there is plenty of security provided by McKay security. The world has just kept getting bigger and more involved as the stories have progressed. This one deals not with a vampire, but with Carlos, a were-panther, who works for the security company. He has sworn off women until he meets another of his kind. He fears they are becoming extinct and wants to mate specifically to carry on their kind. Then he meets Caitlyn. Caitlyn has just discovered this world after reuniting with her long lost sister who is now married to the vampire Roman who owns Romatech. Caitlyn has her own special gift, but she is no were-panther. Can she overcome Roman's objections and make him see that she is the one for him? The characters are quirky and endearing as always. I love visiting with other couples from previous installments to the series. I love pondering which of the the single people that show up in the stories will eventually turn up going after their own happily ever afters. There were a few cheesy parts where I had to do an eye roll but again, thats probably expected in paranormal romances. I was bothered once when Caitlyn acted surprised about one of Carlos's abilities when I was sure he had just told her about it on an airplane ride a couple chapters before. Maybe I read this wrong but it confused me for a second. Sparks is good enough at mixing things up to ensure I will be around as a reader for a long time to come.

      Just as enjoyable as her others in this series. Can see some problems coming down the line with the panther children, especially Teresa. And the continuing problem of Sean Whelan, he will eventually have to be dealt with, especially since he has proved himself to be not a nice person at all. Can't wait for the next book!

      I think this is exactly how Ms. Sparks got her groove back. I feel the same energy and love in this story as I did the first story and that is rare once you are so far in a series. I also apparently missed a book here (need to check my shelf) and I didn't feel out of the loop at all. Thank goodness. This book says "Hey, you should have been paying more attention so sexy--so not gay--Carlos all this time.

      I adored Carlos and I adored Caitlyn in this story. They are almost opposites yet they are perfect together. I love how Caitlyn is a women, with a gentle, yet strong nature. They juxtapose very well and give her the motherly, loving, vibe which is what I think Ms. Sparks may have been going for. I felt a ton of genuine humor in this story and I am so happy that Carlos and Caitlyn found a happy ending together.

      Plot...so this book takes us from the normal townhouse and compound to the jungles of Thialand. It is neat to experience a new place from some of your favorite characters' perspectives. I enjoyed how Ms. Sparks wrote the jungle scenes. I am also very happy we have a new big bad and fugly because Casimir (as horrible as he is) was getting old pretty fast. Can't wait to see where Ms. Sparks takes this new villain.

      I will still keep reading, can't stop, next up is Connor's book. FINALLY!

      Caitlyn Whelan, is the daughter of the head of the CIA agency bent on destroying the undead and has kept her from her sister, Shanna. Caityln, decides to accept the invite to her nephews birthday( a nephew she just found out existed) and seeing her sister for the first time since their childhood. The reunion with her sister was bittersweet, but during this party, she meets Carlos Panterra who draws her unlike any other, and starts to realize that this is the man for her. Caitlyn knows that it won't be easy, having Carlos but knows he is well worth the effort. Carlos, a shapeshifter, a were panther, is determined to save his kind, and knows he must mate with a were panther, but must go about to finding one, and despite the magnetism between himself and Caitlyn he knows he must not partake of the forbidden fruit, and do what is best for his kind. Because even though there is one way for her to become like him, more than likely the turning would kill her, and he wouldn't want to harm a hair on her head. But his feelings for Caityln have only increased, and wonders if he could bear to let her go?Eat Prey Love is the most recent release of the Love At Stake Series, and I have just loved Carlos and was captivated by this passionate story of where two people that love each other but circumstances prevent them from being together. Carlos, must separate himself from her even though it seems like she is thrown at him at every turn he makes to avoid her. But sometimes destiny gets in the way of best laid plans, and knows he must keep her safe at all costs, even from his and his animal instincts. Eat Prey Love is a powerful and passionate story about two people that are each other's destiny, but its all about their discovery of a love that will fortify them when danger comes headlong at them. I just loved Eat Prey Love, and from the first page, I was drawn into this compelling story!!! A DELIGHTFUL READ!!!

      When I was given the opportunity to review Eat Prey Love I jumped at the chance, for two reasons. First reason, I am a fan of Kerrelyn Sparks, especially her Love at Stakes series, and second because I am always looking for good were-animal novels. I love all were-animals but there seems to be so many werewolves and not much of were bears, lions, tigers, and panthers. Eat Prey Love is Carlos' story and he is a were-panther, so that was just what I was looking for. Just from reading the blurb I knew I would love Carlos, who can not love a man who would risk his life to save young children and then adopt them. Carlos was sweet and caring. Caitlyn I felt bad for a first because her family was so messed up. Her father was a total jerk, she lost her sister because of her father, and her mom was indifferent. I loved how we learned about what happened to Caitlyn's sister Shanna as she did. Caitlyn took everything in stride, and never shut down because of all she was hearing about vampires and shapeshifters, she was a strong women. I enjoyed Carlos' search for more were-panthers, especially since Caitlyn went behind his back to be able to go with him. They both loved each other, and I loved how their relationship developed throughout Eat Prey Love . Eat Prey Love is hilarious, especially when Caitlyn is learning to fight, stake vampires, and shot a gun. I won't tell you what happened, because that will spoil it but trust me you will get a kick out of it. Eat Prey Love is definitely one for the keeper shelves.

      It starts out good but then lets you down with poor plot movers. This is becoming a habit in this series and I no longer look forward to the books. I keep hoping for the comedy of the first books, but it is the same old jokes that fall flat. The romance usually starts out really good and promising, just like this one did. Then the plot go astray and there is always some fixed kidnapping and last minute escape from a kidnapping that you can see way in advance.

      So for this book, the relationship starts out great. They have real pull towards one another and it is obvious that they should be together. There is a obstacle of needing a mate from his species and the reasoning is sound, so you wonder how this is going to work out. So the heroine decides to stay close to force the issue, which is good.

      Then the plot starts, they go to Thailand to try to find more of his species. Immediately, they discover that the professor that he has trusted in his search is hiding something and is searching for someone he calls master. Well? Wouldn't you worry? Wouldn't you keep an eye on the translator with the same symbol? Instead, they keep the translator that the professor hired. When the heroine is too frightened to take a piss in the woods, the hero semi-changes in plain view, to check for snakes. Really this was just stupid. One, the woman has trekked into the woods before, has she never peed there too. Second, why does he have to shift to check. I knew immediately that the professors spy would see, and he did. Next after they get caught in the cave and the spy is outted, shouldn't they take extra precaution since the professor is out to capture him. No they don't and of course, they get captured. Kidnapping in this stupid, see it coming a mile away, has become standard in this series. The ending is quick with a quick save by the usual suspects "finding" them in time. The bad guy is a new bad guy and the reason for wanting a shape shifter stupid. The bad guy just gets away. These MacKay employees seem really good at finding and saving people but crappy at actually finding and getting the bad guy. So this plot just was full of holes and made me not even want to finish the book.

      Still I wanted to see what would happen with Carlos and Caitlyn and the end of their was good but not great. It ended too abruptly and there was no follow up. I did like that Roman figured out how to help. I would have like to see how the children take the to Caitlyn and how the father reacts in the end, or at least have a show down between Caitlyn and her father. I was slightly disappointed with the end too.

      It was OK but not worth the read. I think the good reviews come from people who like the series a lot and keep reading, which are the majority. I liked the series and keep hoping that the comedy will come back. I didn't laugh at all for this one.

      This book was absolutely amazing. It is by far my favorite of the series. The chemistry between the characters was electrifying. The action was incredible and once again I was on th edge of my seat. I literally couldn't put it down.

      I really liked this paranormal romance with the female determined to have her man. It was full of humor and had an exciting ending. Caitlyn is good with languages so takes a job offer from her sister when she is instantly attracted to were-panther Carlos.

      I've loved Carlos since the book he was introduced, so it was great to finally hear his story. My heart broke hearing about what had happened to his family. I also really enjoyed meeting Caitlyn and learning her past and how she was sort of already tied into this world. I'm intrigued as to how Rajiv will be integrated into the series and anxious to read more about him. I'm also so happy for Shanna and what all of this will mean for her and her family!

Can be read as a stand-alone but better if at least a couple of the preceding series books are read. The “family” of vampires and relatives grow from the first book, How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire.Carlos is a panther shifter. His goal is to find a female of his race and prevent the extinction of his race. Falling in love with a human is against all his dreams. Caitlyn falls for Carlos at first glance. Why does he keep kissing and then rejecting her?A touch of romantic suspense while the couple works to advance his goals. A bit angsty as Carlos waffles between his lust and his goals. I think Caitlyn should have walked away once or twice but she is dedicated to her job of interpreter. Overall entertaining, steamy and witty.

In Eat Prey Love, Caitlyn Whelan is a human who has just discovered that her sister Shanna is still alive. (Her father has kept them apart and isolated Caitlyn.) Apprehensive, Caitlyn is unsure of her welcome when her sister invites her to her home. All she knows is she wants to be reunited with Shanna and have a sister to love again. But Shanna has already started a new family of her own and is now married to a handsome vampire! As unbelievable as it seems Caitlyn soon finds herself also in the company of shifters, too. She tries to keep an open mind. But soon hormones flare out of control as she is instantly attracted to a sexy panther shifter named Carlos. Although Carlos has a deep attraction to Caitlyn, he quickly distances himself. He must mate with his own species. This is because the panther weres are almost extinct. His village was attacked by vengeful humans and Carlos was only able to save a handful of the panther children. Now he feels it is his duty and responsibility to find a panther mate to continuing their species. But Caitlyn is determined to fight for him... I liked Caitlyn’s spunky attitude. Unlike many heroines who give up under seemingly impossible odds, she is confident enough in herself to recognize that she and Carlos deserve a future. It was fun to read her pursue him and Carlos trying to keep his hands off of her! The characters are very engaging although I was a little frustrated with Carlos for not giving in sooner!! The author doesn't stint on the plot which includes: a super villain cult, out of control hormones and some mischievous matchmakers. Poor Carlos doesn't stand a chance! Kerrelyn Sparks does it again! Her characters sparkle off the page and put a huge smile on my face. But lighthearted doesn’t mean light weight. Eat Prey Love has a couple of plot twists that I didn't see coming. I liked how the author really delves into the vampire and shifter culture. And how she flawlessly introduces new vampire characters from around the world, more please!
