Splat is excited about going camping until he discovers that the bully is going to be there. In this back-yard adventure Splat and his friends learn that even bullies can get scared and they all end up becoming friends in the end. This first reader has a lot of simple sentences with more difficult words in the mix and also has a lot of sentences on the page in comparison to most early reader books. This would be a great book for the more advanced reader in K-1 or a struggling reader in 2-3.
