Freedom’s Children: Youth and The Civil Rights Movement The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration honors the legacy of Dr. King through the creative and thought-provoking presentation of music, poetry and dance. These musicians, singers, poets and dancers coming from all age groups, will showcase their talent in an effort to uplift the community. This family-oriented event seeks to challenge each generation to do its part in helping Dr. King’s dream become a reality.
