cganiere scribbled: Working families are taxed to pay the federal employees. It is over taxation that causes the struggle that many have. Open each utility bill - there are a variety of taxes. Look at your paycheck and imagine the income tax withholding disappearing. If the federal government were to shrink to its 1979 size we could eliminate the income tax. How many "struggling" families would continue to struggle after a 10-25% take home pay increase? The Federal Government has "enumerated powers" it is precisely the overstepping of these bounds that has created a government too expensive for working class people. Our politicians try to mitigate the problems with $3 TRILLION government by giving back a billion here or there.

cganiere scribbled: I give this an "F". While all these measures sound appealing. None of these are the responsibility of the Federal Government. It will be another morass of wasteful spending. It will benefit the federal workers far more than anyone else.
