As children of God and as Christians we need our faith to be strong and we need clear vision of what is going on in heaven in the hour of God’s judgment. The people of Laodicea are the people of the judgment. 1 John is appropriate to consider that we have an advocate so we can see clearly what is in heaven for us. So we can make advantageous strides to victory in overcoming within the time of Jacob’s trouble when we wrestle with our sins from the past and the present and those things which are oppressing.
