Size: 12 by 12 inches
Materials

Worsted weight yarn: \u00bd oz sage green, 1 oz med green, 1 oz dk

green, \u00bd oz purple, and 1 oz lt gray.

Crochet hook size G/6 (4 mm) or size needed for gauge

Gauge: 11 sc = 3\u201d, 7 Rnds sc = 2\u201d

Notes:In Rnds 3 \u2013 10 work over color not in use; starting with Rnd 12 use bobbins or wind small balls

of colors needed. To change colors: start sc with working color, draw new color through last 2 lps on

hook.

Square:
Rnd 1: With sage green, ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st in first sc.
Rnd 2:Ch 1, 2 sc in same ch, [3 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 3 times, 3 sc in last sc, join with sl st in

first sc, fasten off. (20 sc)

Rnd 3:Attach purple in joining, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in each of next 3 sc, changing to dk green in last

sc, [2 sc in next sc, changing to purple, sc in each of next 4 sc, changing to dk green] 3 times, 2 sc in

next sc, with purple join with sl st in first sc.

Rnd 4:Ch 1, sc in same sc and in each of next 3 sc, changing to dk green, [2 sc in each of next 2 sc,

changing to purple, sc in each of next 4 sc, changing to dk green] 3 times, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, with

purple join with sl st in first sc.

Rnd 5:Ch 1, sc in same sc and in each of next 3 sc, changing to dk green, [sc in next sc, 2 sc in each of

next 2 sc, sc in next sc, changing to purple, sc in each of next 4 sc, changing to dk green] 3 times, sc in

next sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in next sc, with purple join with sl st in first sc.
