Two Versions
This is Bill Hudson's side of the story. Once married to Goldie Hawn, they had two children, Oliver and Kate Hudson. The story begins with Olivers dramatic birth, covers Bill's life with Goldie, their divorce and custody issues, and his memories of his children. He focus's attention in the book on the issue of parent-child alienation caused by divorce, and fathers rights issues.

Stanley Maxell is a geeky high school freshman who experiences an unusual phenomenon; after losing consciousness in a car accident, he wakes up deep in the forest with a talking owl. If that isn’t strange enough, he soon realizes that he is no longer a teenage boy, but a fully grown red fox. He learns that this predicament was caused by events that occurred before he was born, and that the only way he can become human again is by performing three difficult tasks. In his quest, Stanley is aided little, but through it all he makes many friends, learns many valuable lessons and, in the end, finds what he has been searching for throughout most of his life: compassion.

He is saddened until he finds out what those minds were trying to do. The aliens find out about Freddy’s life and what the Earth Destroying disaster is. In that search they find out that Earth is more important and more powerful than they thought.

In order to preserve his name, John breaks into BEAN headquarters and is soon recruited by Mr. Tucker to try to bring kindness back to the world. Whisked away, John must fight bureaucrats, dragons, labor unions, and a very powerful corporate giant. But despite all the obstacles, John won’t quit, not ‘til the cows come home.
