Rothman is a driven 22-year-old from West Hartford, Connecticut. Ms. Rothman discovered a passion for the arts at age 11, when she performed in a 3-season run of A Christmas Carol. Daryl J. Rothman continued to develop her talents in singing and acting by taking performance classes at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey. By the age of 17, she was demonstrating remarkable competence and a determined work ethic. Ms. Rothman spent July 2005 developing her singing voice at the Westminster Choir College Summer Voice Program. That same year, Daryl J. Rothman played the Rose in the New York City Opera’s fall production of The Little Prince. Though she was committed to her musical career, Ms. Rothman also found time to volunteer at the Kids-for-Kids of New Jersey charity to help local children.
By 2006, Daryl J. Rothman’s passions for singing and social service were beginning to shape her future. She attended The Juilliard School’s prestigious Pre-College Division from 2004 to 2007. In 2006, Ms. Rothman began her first counseling position for young children at the Arts Council of Princeton summer day camp, and she attended a special vocal coaching summer program at L’Académie Internationale d’Eté de Nice in France.
Daryl J. Rothman enrolled at Mannes College’s The New School of Music before transferring to The Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. While at Hartford, Daryl Rothman dedicated herself to student services; for example, she administered, planned, and directed multiple student-oriented projects on campus while working as a Resident Assistant. In 2011, she assisted Seva Mandir with social service projects in Rajasthan, India.
Daryl J. Rothman continues to pursue excellence in acting, vocal performance, and assisting those in need. Ms. Rothman will graduate in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a certificate in vocal performance; she plans to pursue both of her passions as viable careers.view less
