Author's Overview of “God, Nature, and the Human Soul”
This the first article of a planned seven article set containing a overview of my new book about philosophy, which includes studies of the human soul, and looks at science & reason versusChristianity & religion. The articles will contain an overview of the philosophy and various parts of it, but of course the details are in the book itself. The book is entitled “God, Nature, and the Human Soul,A Personal Philosophy”, and it examines Christianity & religion versus reason & science with an aimto keep the best of both. Other recent reviews can be found onlinehereandhere. It can be ordered from my websiteas well as by clicking on the links in this article that read:“God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science & Reason Versus Christianity &Religion). This first article will present only a quick overview of the entire book, while subsequent articles will provide more in depth reviews on specific portions of “God, Nature, and the Human Soul,A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science & Reason Versus Christianity & Religion).A central tenet of modern philosophy is an attempt to move man “beyond” religion, but the true philosopher will admit that neither modern philosophy nor ancient religion can be proven in thescientific sense, since many of the tenets of each are not susceptible to repeatable experimentation.“God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science & Reason VersusChristianity & Religion)takes an in depth look at the boundaries of our knowledge in the areas of science and religion, and recognizes that the arenas of conflict between the two are actually a verysmall portion of what each entail. Hence, in the end, and contrary to prevailing modern philosophy, it isindeed possible to keep the vast majority of known scientific fact, while at the same time keeping a vastmajority of one's deep Christian religious faith. Science and Reason do not need to exclude Religionand Christianity. The concise book “God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science& Reason Versus Christianity & Religion) presents my own personal philosophy that I have acquiredover the years as a Physicist, Christian, and Martial Artist. Following the tradition of martial arts philosophy,“God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science &Reason Versus Christianity & Religion)begins with an examination of the fundamental questions thathave faced mankind for millennia - What is the World made of? Is there a God? How can Religion &Christianity be reconciled with Science & Reason? Is there Life after Death? What is Life? What is aHuman Soul? Do I have a Human Soul? and Who am I? After an introduction to these questions, “God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science & Reason VersusChristianity & Religion) goes on to place in context mankind's ability to answer these questions, andthen goes on to postulate possible answers for some of these questions. With the postulated answers tothe important questions in hand, “God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (AnAnalysis of Science & Reason Versus Christianity & Religion) then delves deeper into the subtopics of existence. An overview of my work on the fundamental questions of science is presented. With an overview of the physical world complete, the book next turns to matters of Christianity, religion and thehuman soul, where the conflict between Christianity and religion versus science and reason is tackledhead-on, with specific analysis of those areas where science and reason is seemingly in conflict withChristianity and religion. After the discussion of Christianity and religion (and their relation to scienceand reason) is complete, “God, Nature, and the Human Soul, A Personal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science & Reason Versus Christianity & Religion) then turns to a discussion of the human soul. Thecentral question of the existence of God and the existence of the human soul is used as a starting pointto examine resulting differences in our political opinions. “God, Nature, and the Human Soul, APersonal Philosophy” (An Analysis of Science & Reason Versus Christianity & Religion) nextdescribes an experiment done to prove the existence of the human soul, and then examines the
