Cooking Week with the SUPERHERO SNOWFLAKES

(Ks & 1st graders)

Let's get ready to cook! This week we will be cooking, baking and visiting local shops and restaurants. At the end of the week we will also come together with the other two groups to have a feast of all feasts and eat all our dishes we have created. Will be going to the Whole Foods at Interbay on Tuesday, for a tour and then off to Ballard Pizza on Thursday, along with some time afterwards at the Ballard Commons (so pack swim gear incase we get wet) As for our cooking projects, we will be baking bread for fresh Paninis for Fridays feast and we will also create a fruit salad. In between everything we will also squeeze in some homemade ice cream and try our hand with a juicer. So be ready for some down home cooking in the modern world. Steve and Angelina

Breakfast is an important meal and we serve a breakfast snack at Kids Inc. but it is only out for those early morning campers. The children run and play hard and need the energy to make it to lunch. Please make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast at home before coming to camp! Thank you for your cooperation.

Beach Day/Park Day/Everyday

Please note the schedule above for Beach and Park day. Dont forget to apply that sunscreen before your child gets here to Kids Inc. everyday, and especially on all beach/park days, the kids will be leaving by 9:10 and returning by 3:00 pm. Washington Administrative Code insists that either all children have freezer packs in their lunch or we must carry portable coolers on our fieldtrips. We are asking for your support. Please make sure that your child has a freezer pack in their lunch. A frozen water bottle works great. Thanks for your help.
