EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
PIA is the national flag carrier of Pakistan. Since its conception in 1955, it has gone from strength tostrength. However, stagnation started to set-
in in the late 70’s.
At this point in time PIA is strugglingon all fronts, but not all issues are within their control.This report, basically, focuses on the issues that are within their control. For quite a while, PIA and itsupper management have been focusing on expanding its fleet and engineering prowess, all the timeneglecting the real problem at hand; the restructuring of the HR department and all the issues related toit. This report will focus on these problems; analyze them and present possible solutions, if any, forthem.
