Islamic Relief USA Hosts Ramadan Welcoming Reception on Capitol Hill (Washington, D.C.

, 7/16/2012) Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA), the leading humanitarian Muslim organization in the United States, is hosting an interfaith Capitol Hill Ramadan Reception on July 19th, on the first evening of Ramadan. The event is cohosted by Congressman Andre Carson and Congressman Keith Ellison to celebrate the occasion with American Muslim community members, government officials, interfaith leaders, and executives from leading humanitarian aid NGOs. Islamic Relief USAs Ramadan Reception is a wonderful opportunity for our organization to bring together government officials, Muslim community members, and diverse interfaith leaders to celebrate our shared humanitarian values and mission to help the less fortunate, said Jihad Saleh Williams, government affairs representative for IRUSA.
