Assalamo alaikum. Remember, the incident of karbala took place 70 years after Deen Islaam was completed. This incident is tragic. But it absolutely has got nothing to do with "Deen". What change has come to Islaam? Should the momineen stop namaaz, roza, huj, zakat, qurbani or other orders after the sad incident of karbala?--No! not at all! The "Deen" is the same "Deen' as it was at the........
The "Deen" is the same "Deen' as it was at the time of the Prophet(S). Whatever some people do in remembrance of this incident, is not at all Islaam. It cannot be proved on The Revealed Authority(Quraan).---The incident of karbala has not made any change in Islaam. The very sad incident of karbala has got no relationship with Allah's Deen "Islaam".
So no, we shouldn't stop with our other Wajibaats, but use this tragedy as a way to remind ourselves of how important they are :)
Hmmm... well, tbf it may not be wajib to mourn the tragedy of Karbala, but surely if by remembering this event, grieving for the martyrs and swearing that we would have helped them save if Islam, if we had been there at the time, we cannot be doing a bad thing. It is not part of religion, it just reminds you of how important our Deen is.
