Compare the passenger certificates for the Canna and the St Sorney. The certificate numbers are in sequence, the form reference numbers are the same [MSF 1241/ REV 0707], yet the wording of the particulars section is different as is the name of the operator.
The Canna has annual survey range dates; the St Sorney hasn't. The Canna supposedly had an extension of the survey date but this isn't indicated on the certificate.
The St Sorney has a summer carrying capacity of 35 yet I'm told a vessel of a similar size could only get a certificate for 12 passengers. The St Sorney has no winter capacity listed. Is it operating in UK waters on the winter schedule without an MCA certificate?
The Canna had a winter capacity of 27 under RFL; it now has 50 under RIFL. How can this be as, apparently, no alterations have been made to the vessel?
