We anticipate publishing the Final RFP on 2 Dec 2005, with a proposal submission deadline of NLT: 3:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on 13 January 2006.This Draft RFP is being published as a means to allow potential offerors the opportunity to makesuggestions for improvements to the documents before Final publication.Offerors should pay special attention to the following areas in the RFP:a)Section C, Specification of Work b)Section L, Preparation of Proposals and Section M, Evaluation of Proposals.The RFP requests, but does not require, early submission of the Past Performance Volume – two weeksafter release of the RFP. All offerors are instructed to use the templates provided in Attachments 1 and 2of this letter.Award will be made to the offeror who is deemed responsible in accordance with the Federal AcquisitionRegulations, whose proposal conforms to the RFP’s requirements and is judged to represent the “bestvalue” to the Government.For valuable information about the Antarctic mission and environment please refer tohttp://www.usap.gov/.For detailed information on helicopter services in the Antarctic please refer to
