results when you use a survey to collect data for
magnet program evaluation. Even if the survey is valid
and reliable, a low response rate among survey
participants will discredit your results to some extent
because the results won\u2019t be viewed as representative
of the participant group. Use this list of tips to create a

Note: Without a high response rate, it\u2019s difficult to tell if
the findings hold up for the entire group you\u2019re
surveying. An evaluation project\u2019s goal should be to get
responses from all survey recipients, but response
rates in the 70\u201385 percent range are considered very
good. If the rate goes below 50 percent, the results are
generally not considered acceptable.
