DutyHoursa.Exceptforfacultymeetingsprovidedinparagraph#6below,thedutydayshallbeamaximumofseven(7)hoursandthirty(30)minutesconsecutively,providedthatthisshallnotapplytothoseemployeescontractingforlessthanfull-timeduty.b.Theworkdayforallemployeesduringpre-school,post-school,andallTeacherWorkdaysduringtheregularschoolyearshallbefrom8:00a.m.to3:30p.m.,withone(1)hourforlunch.AnexceptiontothisforamodifiedworkdayisasdeterminedbyafacultyvoteconductedbytheEBCandapprovedbythePrincipal.Oncevotedandapproved,themodifiedscheduleforpre-school,post-schoolandallTeacherWorkDays/In-ServiceDaysatthatschoolwillstayinplaceforthebalanceofthatschoolyear.2.LeavingtheBuilding-Attimeswhenanemployeedoesnothavescheduledinstructionalresponsibilities,conferences,orotherassignedduties,theemployeemay,upon

approvalbythePrincipalordesignee.leavetheschoolbuildingforpersonalreasons.ThePrincipalordesigneewillnotbearbitraryorcapriciouswhenconsideringsuchrequests.Anyemployeewhoisawayfromthebuildingunderthisprovisionshallnotbeconsideredtobecarryingouttheresponsibilitiesofhis/herposition,andtheBoardshallnotbeliableforinjurytotheemployeeordamagetotheemployee'spropertywhilenotonschoolproperty.Wheneverpossible"aPrincipalwillpermitanemployeetoattendhis/herchild'sschoolOpenHouseand/orparent-teacherconferenceprovidedsuchemployeefindshis/herownproperlycertifiedcoverageorusesavailablepersonalleavetime.Whenusingpersonalleavetime,theemployeewillfollowproceduressetforthinArticleV,SectionB(2)ofthisAgreement.3.Check-InProcedure-Employeesshallnotberequiredto"clock-in"or"out"byhoursandminutes.4.Planninga.Planningtimeisdefinedasnon-studentcontacttimeduringwhichsuchemploveeswillnotbeassignedspecificresponsibilitiesordutiesexceptasprovidedinArticleIII.DofthisAgreement.Planningperiodsareprovidedforthepurposeofpersonalinstructionalplanning.Departmental.team.orgradelevelplanningwillnotbeconsideredaviolationofthisprovision.however.departmental.teamorgradelevelplanningwillbegovernedbythetimelimitssitedinArticleIII.SectionB4CandD.Planningtimeisalsodefinedasbeingsomewhatdifferentinnaturefromaclassroomteacher'splanningtime.Forexample.aclassroomteachermayelecttouseplanningtimetogradepaperswhileacounselormaychoosetoreviewastudent'srecordsandamediaspecialistmightreviewmaterialordersduringtheirplanningtime.b.PlanningPeriods-Planningperiodsareprovidedforthepurposeofpersonalinstructionalplanning.Employeesin
