Each change or altered segment is identified in the rules by a shaded background.1.1.1.
 
Each team must have a minimum of 5 eligible players on the field, or the gameresults in a forfeit.2.10.3. If the penalty is accepted for a foul which occurs during a scrimmage runningplay, the spot of enforcement will determine if Team A is considered to haveused a running play. If the spot of enforcement is beyond the line of scrimmage, a running play has been used. If the spot of enforcement is at orbehind the line of scrimmage, a running play has not been used.2.14.1.g. Defines post-scrimmage kick (PSK) fouls and enforces a PSK foul from the4.3.5. end of K’s scrimmage kick.10.2.4.10.3.6.3.4.1. Changed delay of game penalty to a 5 yard, dead ball foul. Removedlanguage that required teams to use a time out first, if they had any remaining.7.1.1. Redefines “encroachment” and “offsides”; Makes encroachment a 5-yard dead7.1.3. ball penalty; Makes offsides a 5-yard live ball penalty.7.5.3. If an illegal forward pass occurs within 1 yard of the line-of-scrimmage, it is a5-yard penalty and loss of down, but does not count as the team’s scrimmagerunning play for that series. If the illegal forward pass clearly occurs beyond1 yard past the line-of-scrimmage, it shall count as the team’s scrimmagerunning play.8.1.1.d. During a try, a team may score 1 point for a safety by their opponent under8.3.4. rules governing play at other times during the game.8.5.1. If one team is ahead by 36 or more points with two minutes or less remainingin the game, then the game is over.9.2.4. A second unsportsmanlike foul with a 10-yard penalty results indisqualification.9.3.5. Modified rules regarding ejection. Two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in9.3.6. a game requires ejection for the remainder of that game.9.3.7.9.5.1. Redefines illegal substitution; provides guidance for two live ball illegalsubstitution fouls and one dead ball illegal substitution foul.
