Out-of-Stater Bill Clinton Endorses St. Cloud State Senator, 6th District Congressional Candidate, DFL Endorsed, New 8th District Resident, Out-of-Towner, Temporary Tarryl Clark
St. Paul Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Pat Shortridge issued the following statement regarding former President Bill Clintons endorsement of Tarryl Clark in Minnesotas Eighth Congressional District today. The question what the heck is going on in the 8th Congressional District Democrat primary just got more interesting now that former President Clinton endorsed Taryl Clark against the 8th Congressional District DFLs endorsed candidate, Rick Nolan. Tarryls agenda of higher taxes, bigger government and increased gun control failed to gain traction among residents of CD 6 in 2010 and is struggling similarly in CD 8 in 2012, so I guess it figures that Ms. Clark had to get a New Yorker/Citizen of the World, to help bail out her lagging campaign. Im not sure if President Clintons endorsement is a further indication of how worried Nancy Pelosi and Washington Democrats are about how the DFL endorsed candidate, Rick Nolan, is faring struggling to raise money and gain the support of Eighth District residents or how strong Chip Cravaack is looking with just over 100 days left in the campaign. In either case, the Democrats remain in turmoil while Chip keeps getting the job done for 8th District residents.
