menclosinginformationonthislargelyuntestedproduct.Forthesafetyofyourworkersandguests

skthatyounotallowe-cigaretteuseinsideyourfacility,consistentwithyour smoke-freepolicy.E-cigarettesheatthecontentsofacartridgetoformavapor(not"watervapor,"asthecommercialsclaim).Veryfewbrandshavebeentested(andsomeofthosetestswerefundedbythee-cigarettecompanies).HowevertheUSFDAandafewotherlabsaroundtheworldfoundthevaportocontainseveralcancer-causingagents(includingformaldehyde),somevolatileorganiccompounds,andpropyleneglycol,whichamajorchemicalcompanywarnsshouldnotbeinhaled.Finally,nicotineisalsofoundinthevapor.Nicotinecreatesastickyresiduethatreactswithanormalsubstanceintheairtoformcancer-causingagentsthatoff-gasintotheindoorairandclingtocarpets,drapes,andothersurfaces. Weaskthatyouprohibittheuseofe-cigarettesinthecommonareasofyourfacility,consistentwithyoursmoke-freepolicy,duringtheVapeMeetandatalltimes.
