An Act improving the quality of health care and reducing costs through increasedtransparency, efficiency and innovation
.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authorityof the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 38C of chapter 3 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 20101Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 25, 29, 32, 37, 39, 48 and 49, 54 and255, and 86, the words “division of health care finance and policy” and inserting in place thereof,3in each instance, the following words:- center for health information and analysis.4SECTION 2. Said section 38C of said chapter 3, as so appearing, is hereby further5amended by striking out, in lines 35, 40, 44 and 45, 89 and 93, the word “division” and inserting6in place thereof, in each instance, the following word:- center.7SECTION 2A. Said section 38C of said chapter 3, as so appearing, is hereby further8amended by striking out, in line 47, the word “division’s” and inserting in place thereof the9following word:- center’s.10
SECTION 3. Said section 38C of said chapter 3, as so appearing, is hereby amended by11striking out, in line 43, the words “, the health care quality and cost council,”.12SECTION 4. Section 105 of chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking13out, in lines 11 and 12, as so appearing, the words “commissioner of health care finance and14policy” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- executive director of the center for15health information and analysis.16SECTION 5. Section 16 of chapter 6A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 201017Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 52, the words “pursuant to section 2A18of chapter 118G” and inserting in place thereof the following words:— under section 13C of 19chapter 118E.20SECTION 6. Section 16E of said chapter 6A is hereby repealed.21SECTION 7. Sections 16J to 16L, inclusive, of said chapter 6A are hereby repealed.22SECTION 8. Section 16M of said chapter 6A, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition,23is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3 and 4, the words “commissioner of health care24financing and policy” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- executive director of 25the center for health information and analysis.26SECTION 9. Said section 16M of said chapter 6A, as so appearing, is hereby further27amended by striking out, in lines 23 and 39, the words “division of health care finance and28policy” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- center for health29information and analysis.30
