The India & US Navies began their 16th annual ” Malabar 12″ exercise on 7 April 2012 in

India and the US has strengthen cooperation in the area of public health by sharinginformation and best practices, identify and address policy concerns and establish newtechnologies. India & the United States had announced a joint USD 125 million fund to carry out combinedresearch in the field of clean energy. As such there institutions each from India and the UShave been selected for the US-India Joint Clean Energy Research & Development Center(JCERDC), which is part of the US-India partnership to Advance Clean Energy. Whilenational Renewable Energy Laboratory, University of Florida & Lawrence Berkeley NationalLaboratory have been selected from US, three Indian Institutions are the Indian Institute of Science- Bangalore, The India Institute of Chemical Technology Hyderabad, and CEPTUniversity Ahmedabad.
