When I started applying for summerinternships in my second year of university, I was very enthusiasticbut felt that I lacked the neccessarysupport and guidance to get megoing in the right direction. I read careers literature, spoketo careers advisors, graduaterecruiters, failed applicants andhighly successful applicants to try toanswer these questions. I recorded
my ndings and realised that my
conclusions would be extremelyuseful to other students who havesimilar aspirations to work in theCity.
