Perhaps you should go to the Jewish Virtual Library. It's online. And it is very clear that Ratzinger- who was a mere teenager, was in no way willing to participate in Hitler youth or the Nazi party. He was forced into conscription at 17 and went AWOL as soon as an opportunity availed itself. Ratzinger's own father was an ardent opposer of Hitler.
