The Notitia Dignitatum is, perhaps, one of the most important documents to survive the Roman Empire. It details the administrative organization of the eastern and western empires, listing several thousand offices from the imperial court down to the provincial level. This document was part of the Codex Spirensis which existed in the 1542 and which was lost in 1672. This is a Latin version of the document, published in 1876.
